Thoughts While Shaving for September 26

One final reminder, former East Bladen HS football coach Bob Lewis will be at Leinwands for an hour or so, beginning at 9 this AM. He is expected to a busy man. He has written a book, “My Story” about his 43 years as a varsity football coach. It will be on sale and he will be signing … Might be smart to wear a mask … could be a crowd…

Speaking of football, West Bladen’s Brandon Council is expected to start for #8 Auburn U vs # 25 Kentucky. The big man transferred from Akron where he graduated, but has 2 years of eligibility remaining due to injuries and redshirting. He is set to start at right offensive guard for the Tigers. The game will be telecast on SEC Network at 12 noon (EST).

Sunday, former East Bladen player Larrell Murchison is on the roster of the Tennessee Titans (2-0) as they take on the Minnesota Vikings (0-2). Gametime is 1 p.m. (EST) on CBS. He played in his first NFL game last week, and hopeful of more action tomorrow.

Bladen County schools have been turning out some very good athletes, several now playing at the next level.

Temps should be in the same range for the next several days…

Between phone calls, ads on TV, and other news media and slicks in your mailbox, who is not aware of an upcoming election?
