A reminder … A Tropical Warning is in effect for much of eastern and adjoining areas in South Carolina … Due to the large physical size of Hurricane Helen, some peripheral effects to our area. Very outer bands will be capable of producing moderate rainfall and breezy conditions. There still is a small but non-zero tornado threat. The main timing window of these impacts will be late today into early Friday.

Bladen County high school football games have been rescheduled … East and West Bladen varsity games are scheduled for tonight (Thursday) … West Bladen at 6:30 p.m. and East at 7:30 p.m.
A reminder … The NC Division of Motor Vehicles license plate agency in Elizabethtown will close at 5 p.m. Monday, September 30 after the current operators announced their retirement … Hopefully, it will reopen soon with new operators … In the meantime, nearby license plate agencies are located in Lumberton, Whiteville and Wallace…
