Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingOne Presidential debate down, two to go.  So what do you think?

Like many, I have my own feelings about the debate, but refuse to share.  I am reminded of a one-liner shared with me over the years, ‘give advice sparingly, and only when asked.’  And, even if asked, I refuse to share on this presidential election.

Once supporters have determined who they will support, facts seldom change minds.

I do encourage all to check FactCheck today.  I have already, very interesting.

A little about FactCheck.org.  It was launched in December 2003 by Brooks Jackson, former Associated Press, Wall Street Journal and CNN reporter who had covered Washington and national politics since 1970.  In 2003, Kathleen Hall Jamieson of the Annenberg Public Policy Center approached Jackson about forming FactCheck.org, and the site was online in December of that year.

Interesting that reporters for numerous networks were referencing FactCheck, even before the debate.

It’s free and available, online right now.

Woke up thinking about so many in the area suffering from various diseases, including cancer.  When I look around at friends and family, most have been ‘touched’, one way or another, by this dreaded disease.

I love to check on former Bladen County students and see how they are progressing through their dreams.  Case in point, the Murchison twins are doing well at Louisburg College.  Larrell and Farrell have led the team offensively and defensively on the football field.

Autumn officially arrived Thursday, Sept. 22, according to the calendar.

Fall has always been my favorite season.  The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year long for the grand finale.  Lauren DeStefano
