Say a prayer for residents of the Bahamas who have been pummeled by Hurricane Dorian, and for those along the US coast that will be harmed. One report has it near or on the coastline of southeastern North Carolina Thursday evening with winds over 100 mph. Not a prediction, but a warning. … As with all such weather events, final path to be determined.

Not sure how much scheduled events will be upset by the storm. … The Town of Elizabethtown is scheduled to host its second Grape Escape biker ride, Saturday, September 7th. It starts and ends at the Cape Fear Winery … a scenic tour is planned around the county including stops at Lu Mil vineyard and other locations. A 30 mile ride is planned, as well as a 60 mile ride, both beginning at 9 a.m. There is a $45 registration fee. … Goodies include a Grape Escape T-shirt and a goodie bag, also a meal voucher for Cape Fear Winery.
