Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

60 degrees at 6 a.m. today … GREAT … Forecast for today in our area … Sunny, with a high near 84 and a northeast breeze about 5 mph. … Clear tonight, and a low around 59 … September has arrived. Saturday, Sunny with a high near 86 … Skipping ahead to Labor Day … Sunny, with a high near 91…

Out of town last evening … siblings togeter with spouses and a couple of friends … Enjoyed the meal and the waitress, checking on us said someone had paid the bill … All I have is a last name … A kind deed, would like to know who and why … just my wondering mind … But THANKS…

I shared a couple of 1970 thoughts by members of the Elizabethown Kiwanis Club … looking ahead to 1975 … Again, will not use names…

One member in the judicial field indicated that “issues related to judicial administration and law enforcement would continue to increase at the same rapid pace as the population increases.” He suggested “the growth of the law enforcement agencies in Bladen County would increase” … Another in the banking industry indicated that “banks would become even more automated as a necessity due to rising costs of labor and the tremendous increase in demand for banking services such as checking accounts, charge cards and automatic checking account debits for the paying of bills.” He also stated that “automated credit would become more the way of life for local citizens.”

Remember that was 51 years ago…

Labor Day weekend, last summer fling … Enjoy, but drive with care…

White Lake is calling…

“Nothing will work unless your do.”

“Hard work doesn’t guarantee success, but it improves its chances.”

“Labor Day means grilling outside.”
