COVID-19 continues to be a concern for many area residents … despite the fact we don’t want to believe stats released by the county, state and nation…

Latest info was an article in the NY Times related to the virus in every state in the nation … According to the report over 5 million Tar Heels have received at least one dose of medication … 5,900,286 was the exact number, and 4,904,412 were fully vaccinated or 46.76% of the population, as of September 3, 2021.

My guess the number of folks suffering from the disease has risen, following the holiday…

Shots are available and free … Contact the Bladen County Health Department … We all know several who have died … and medical facilities are overflowing…

Our nation continues to be in turmoil. Pray for our leaders, doctors and nurses and our friends…

Weather forecast for today … A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Light and variable wind, chance of rain is 40% … Actually, rain chances remain in the forecast thru Thursday night. The weekend looking good … High near 90 with lots of sunshine…

Expect White Lake (Goldston’s) to remain open for a while, based on an interview on an area TV station … Over the years, all closed down after Labor Day … but not this year…

Never seen so many job openings … Can’t drive far and not see ‘Help Wanted’ signs…

Another apparent shortage is houses for sale…

“Make this a September to remember.”

“Deep conversations with the right people are priceless.”

“There is no greater wealth in this world than peace of mind.”
