Last report (early Monday AM), Hurricane Dorian was dumping heavy rains and blowing 90 mph winds on eastern Canada and is expected to continue lashing the country before heading out to sea. Eighty percent of Canada’s Nova Scotia was left without power Sunday. Portions of northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence and western Newfoundland are among the next targets of the storm.

Local residents, for the most part, dodged a ‘bad storm.’
