Checking rainfall at the local airport weather station … 12 hundredths of an inch recorded … Think we had more but not sure … Late yesterday, was dark, and the rain came down…

Could be more of the same today. Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before noon, then more of the same after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81 … 60% chance of rain today and tonight … low tonight near 61.

Expect sunny skies for the next several days (Friday thru Tuesday) with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s over the weekend…

A reminder of an event at the Bladen County Courthouse, Saturday, September 11, 7 p.m. sponsored by Bladen County Commissioners and the Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce … what is being promoted as a Patriots Service, a reminder of 9-11. Call 910-872-1726 for more info … All are invited, bring a lawn chair…

The 29th Dublin Peanut Festival is set for Saturday, September 18 at Dublin School … Festivities begin with a parade beginning at 10 a.m. … More later…

I am stayin’ in mostly … Did go to town yesterday for a short time … Could not believe all the reports of sickness and death … Say what you please, COVID-19 is a killer … and more so for those who preferred to pass on getting a shot … May get worse before it gets better…

Shots are still available … Call the Bladen County Health Department for more info…
