Thoughts While Shaving Saturday was a beautiful day….High temp 63 degrees, a great day to be outside……give thanks.
We had 2.7 inches of rain over the past 7 days…..at the Hester residence, on Happy Valley Road, Elizabethtown.
Yesterday’s fundraiser for Carolina Crossroads at Bladenboro Historical Building was a huge success.  Currently there are 17 participants in the program and 67 have been assisted since it opened earlier this year.  Many of the current participants were busy at yesterday’s event.  For more info about Carolina Crossroads, call 910-862-3494.
The BBQ plates were delicious, but I am “porked up” for a few days.  Second or third time this week that I enjoyed one of the areas favorite foods.  Stepped on the scales this AM and realized it is time to ‘back off’.
Dementia is a terrible problem.  Saw a long time friend recently that is suffering from the some form of the disease….So sad, and no help in sight.
I look forward to the weekly report from Google Analytics that provides an update of the activity on BladenOnline.  It blows my mind that 21,929 visitors viewed 123,418 pages over the past 7 days.  BladenOnline was a service needed.  Thank you, each and everyone for your support.
It’s free, we depend on advertising to continue to make it better.  If you had had your business listed last week, it would have been viewed by nearly 22,000.  Call Charlotte Smith at 910-876-5393 to have your business included.
This time next week, Thanksgiving will have come and gone.  Love the holiday.  Expecting all the family at the Hester household and hope you do the same.
Some great college football games yesterday.  Today, NFL, NASCAR, Golf, Basketball and more.  No shortage of sports activities this day.
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive.  And then go do it.  Because what the world needs if people who have come alive.  Howard Thurman
Do not wait to strike til the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.  William B. Sprauge
