Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingThe break from typical February temps was nice…but hold on…..there’s more to come….

Congratulations to Darrell Melvin who is retiring after 20 years of teaching and coaching, at Clarkton School of Discovery (CSD)….

Speaking of coaching….Ann Hancock is enjoying another good season at Wingate University… The former East Bladen grad has led the ladies basketball team to another successful season despite a last minute loss Saturday.  The Lady Bulldogs are 19-8 overall, (9-0) at home this year in conference play.  Their next game is at home against Coker.

I used February weather as a reason to skip a few days of walking and my belt is apparently shrinking….having trouble making it reach around all of me….Frustrating…

Again, thanks for your continued support for BladenOnline…The part-timers are wide open…providing a service to the area…We cover, local meetings of interest…Board of Commissioners, Board of Education, Town Commissioners in Elizabethtown, Bladenboro, White Lake, Dublin and Clarkton….We provide a news source for school activities, Ag related activities and the best coverage of sports news in the area…We cover obits and have a Guestbook for local residents to express their opinions….We’ve worked and continue to work hard to serve Bladen County…Most of the meetings we cover we are the only news source present….We take our job seriously… It’s a labor of love…and it is fun….Hope it shows…THE BEST IS YET TO COME.
