ST PAULS – Three Bladen County girls have been named to the 2021 All-Southeastern Conference volleyball team. East Bladen juniors AnnaGrey Heustess and Acee Campbell and West Bladen junior Makayla Wright received all-league honors.
Heustess slammed in 71 kills, 19 aces, 120 service points and 23 blocks. She fired in 16 service points and 9 kills in a win over North Brunswick, 9 kills against St. Pauls, and 14 service points and 8 kills versus Whiteville. Heustess racked up 15 service points and 7 kills in a win over Red Springs.
Campbell pounded in 135 kills, 34 aces, 104 service points and 24 blocks. She blasted in 16 service points and 7 aces in a win over West Bladen. Campbell racked up 15 kills and 14 service points in a win over North Brunswick, 9 kills in both Eagle wins over Red Springs, 14 kills versus Midway, and 10 kills against both St. Pauls and East Columbus.
Wright hammered in 102 kills, 27 aces, 81 service points and had 24 blocks and 10 digs. She knocked in 14 kills, 7 aces and 10 service points in a win over Red Springs, 10 kills in another win over Red Springs. Wright tallied 7 kills, 6 aces and 7 service points in a win over West Columbus and 10 service points and 7 kills against East Columbus.
