GASTONIA – Three Bladen County all-star soccer teams open play Saturday in the State-Wide Activities Committee (SWAC) State Tournament at George Poston Park.
Members of the Bladen 10U Boys All-Stars include Jonah Bryan, Jonathan Ortiz-Hernandez, Zachary Scholar, Dylan Hernandez, Collin Cole, Easton Bostic, Samuel Cruz, Wilson Clifton, Ishaq Algozy, Alejandro Lopez, Seth Faircloth, and Tyler Eason. Coaches are Kyle Bostic, Jeffrey Bryan, and Simon Hernandez.
Members of the Bladen 10U Girls All-Stars are: Jakelina Medina, Ella Campbell, Macey Potter, Gabriela Ventura, Kali Allen, Lexie Ventura, Niyah Wooten, Liberty Osborne, Iris Kinzer, Jaimee Perkins, Julia Flowers, and Vera Valentiner. Coaches are Earl Godfrey and Ursula Wooten.
Members of the Bladen 12U Coed All-Stars include Cooper Padrick, Conner Padrick, Chace Butler, Kevyn Labra, Jair McElveen, Aiden Russ, Fernando Chavez, Jaime Delgado, Kewone Maynor, Christopher Labra, Heidi Ventura, Lawson Massey, Gabril Algozy, and Garrett Dunham. Coaches are Jay Raynor, Byron Massey, and Ilka McElveen.
The Bladen 10U Boys open play at 10:30 a.m. against Nash County. The Bladen 10U Girls begin play at 10:30 a.m. versus Belmont. The Bladen 12U Coed team will compete in the 12U Boys bracket and will play Fuquay-Varina at 12 noon.
