1. UNC Greensboro professor Dr. Joseph Ross is speaking at Bladen Community College at 11 a.m. today. His topic is about Judge John Parker, who served as the alternate U.S. Judge for the Nuremberg War Crimes. (READ MORE)
2. A Steam Exploration program is scheduled today at Bridger Memorial Library in Bladenboro, Tuesday at Clarkton Public Library and Thursday at the Main Library Branch in Elizabethtown. The programs, which start at 4 p.m., are most appropriate for ages 6 through 11.
3: The Cape Fear Teen Challenge fish fry fundraiser is scheduled March 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 1107 West Broad Street, Suite D in Elizabethtown. The event is sponsored by Liberty Tax. All proceeds go to Cape Fear Teen Challenge, which is a local women’s recovery program.
