Here are Three Things to Know for Tuesday, February 4:
1: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Bladen Community College auditorium. Keynote speaker will be East Bladen High principal Dr. Jason Wray. Information: Cierra L. Griffin at 910-879-5564.
2. Tonight’s high school basketball schedule has St. Pauls at East Bladen and West Bladen at West Columbus. The St. Pauls-East Bladen girls’ game will be for first place in the Three Rivers Conference. Junior varsity girls’ games start at 4 p.m. followed by JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.
3. The Bladen Recreation Department’s registration for blastball and softball is underway. Blastball is for ages 3 to 5 and softball is for girls ages 5 through 16. Information: 910-862-6770 or visit the department at 803 West King Street in Elizabethtown.
