Here are Three Things to Know for Thursday, October 15:

1. Early voting for the November general election begins today and continues through Oct. 31. Sites are the Bladen County Recreation Department in Elizabethtown, Spaulding Monroe in Bladenboro, East Arcadia Town Hall, Booker T. Washington Primary School in Clarkton, Bay Tree Fire Department in Harrells and Tar Heel Municipal Building in Tar Heel. Polls are open every day, although hours vary. (READ MORE)

Bladen Community College will host a virtual information session Monday at 6 p.m. for parents of high school students currently enrolled in grades 11 and 12 who are interested in applying to the Career and College Promise program for the spring semester. 3. Lower Cape Fear LifeCare has scheduled multi-week, no-cost virtual grief workshop for people coping with the death of an adult child each Tuesday beginning Oct. 20. Pre-registration is required; to register, email Melinda.McKeon@LifeCare.org with your name, address, phone number, and the name and date of the program you wish to attend. You may also call 910-796-7991 and leave a message with the same information. A grief counselor will contact you.
