Here are Three Things to Know for Saturday, October 17:
1. Clarkton Beautification is having a fish fry today to raise funds for the organization. Serving will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Clarkton Town Hall. Plates are $8.
2. The Lakewood Area Volleyball Association has scheduled tryouts today at Galeed Baptist Church’s Family Life Center in Bladenboro. 12-and-under girls 2-3:30 p.m., 13-and-under girls 3:30-5 p.m., 14-and-under girls 5-6:30 p.m. There is a $20 tryout fee. 3. Bladen Community College will host a virtual information session Monday at 6 p.m. for parents of high school students currently enrolled in grades 11 and 12 who are interested in applying to the Career and College Promise program for the spring semester.
