Here are Three Things to Know for Thursday, October 22:
1. A Candy Walk is planned today at the Bladen County Public Library in Elizabethtown. It will begin at 6 p.m. and continue while supplies last. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween best to walk through and pick up candies and crafts in the parking lot.
2. After a 5-month delay due to the coronavirus, Bladen County Recreation’s baseball and softball programs will begin play Friday at County Park with games scheduled to start at 6 p.m. (READ MORE)
3. Early voting for the November general election continues through Oct. 31. Sites are the Bladen County Recreation Department in Elizabethtown, Spaulding Monroe in Bladenboro, East Arcadia Town Hall, Booker T. Washington Primary School in Clarkton, Bay Tree Fire Department in Harrells and Tar Heel Municipal Building in Tar Heel. Polls are open every day, although hours vary. (READ MORE)
