WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), a member of the India Caucus, issued the following statement after a Pakistan-based terrorist group bombed and killed an estimated 40 Indian paramilitary police in Kashmir:

“Today’s terrorist attack against Indian paramilitary police is a despicable act of violence, however I know it will not weaken the resolve of the Indian people. The American people and the American government stand fully behind our ally India and their fight to defend their democracy and end the threat of violent extremism. As a member of the Armed Services Committee and the Senate India Caucus, I remain committed to strengthening the national security alliance between our two nations.”
