WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement after voting in support of the continuing resolution that would keep the government funded until December 9, 2016:

“The Senate majority worked diligently this year to restore regular order and pass bipartisan spending bills through the committee process. Unfortunately, Harry Reid decided it would be more politically advantageous in an election year to filibuster these bipartisan spending bills and prevent them from passing. This is why the Senate needed to pass a temporary funding bill to keep the government running and provide critical funding to fight the Zika virus and support our veterans and North Carolina’s military installations.”
