Time is running out to send in your survey to gauge public opinion about the upcoming budget for Bladen County. Some surveys have been turned in, but more are needed. The Bladen County Commissioners have taken the time to reach out to the citizens, and hope to receive feedback.
“This is an outreach to involve our citizens. We are encouraging people to participate and have a voice in their local government,” said Commissioner Chairman Charles Ray Peterson.
Fill out the survey now by clicking here. Complete the form, email it to medwards@bladenco.org or mail it to: County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 1048, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337. You may also call 910-862-6700 to have a paper copy of the survey mailed to you. Surveys need to be submitted by March 11th, 2015.
The surveys collected will be presented to the Board of Commissioners before budget decisions are made for the new fiscal year. Bladen County Manager Greg Martin said, “The County Board values the citizens’ involvement and this is an opportunity for the community to share their thoughts and opinions a head of time.” Martin would also like to encourage residents to attend the Commissioners’ Meeting March 16th at 6:30 to join in the county’s pre-budget discussions. The meeting will be held in Room 8 of the Bladen County Court House.
All surveys need to be completed and sent in by Wednesday, March 11th, 2015.On Monday, May 18th the new budget will be proposed to the commissioners. Voice your opinion now!
