Tim passed away in Acayucan, Mexico while traveling to Santa Elena Belize to his new home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Tim was 64 and had a massive heart attack. Tim was born in Bladen County to Odell and Edna Packer. Tim lived in Clarkton, NC with his wife Hope Packer and their son Joshua.
Tim was a former police officer in Troy NC and later owned and operated Universal Water Systems in Elizabethtown NC.
Tim was survived by his wife Hope Howell Packer of Clarkton, NC; his oldest son, Kyle Packer and wife Lori of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter, Porcha Shipman of Clover, SC; and youngest Joshua Packer from Clarkton, NC. Two grandchildren: Jay Pittman of Clover, SC and Casey Shipman of Clover, SC. Tim is also survived by his mother, Edna Packer of Clarkton.
Tim was predeceased by his father, Odell Packer of Clarkton, NC in 2002.
Tim’s memorial service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Salem Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church located at 9494 Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Rd., Clarkton, NC, 28433. There will be a visitation with the family directly after the service in the fellowship hall of the church where everyone is invited to stay and fellowship with the family.
Tim will be missed by all and his love and kindness will be remembered by all that knew him.
