Tips to build self-esteem and promote mental health by Cape Fear Valley Health

Many resolutions have been made this new year. Some commit to live healthier lives. Cape Fear Valley Health (CFV), the parent company of Bladen County Hospital, gave some tips to build self-esteem and promote mental health.

“There are several ways you can build your self-esteem and promote your mental health in the New Year,” the healthcare agency provided stated.

Below are the three tips listed by CFV to build self-esteem and promote mental health.

  1. Be attentive to your needs, and take good care of your body through exercise and healthy eating.

2. Finish tasks that you’ve been putting off, and plan time to more activities you enjoy.

3. Remember, low self-esteem may also be a symptom of depression. So, if you’re experiencing chronic sadness, changes in your appetite and sleep patterns, schedule an appointment with your doctor.

If you would like to show your support for the local healthcare provider you may donate to the Bladen County Hospital Foundation. The Foundation is also offering an opportunity to show your support and have a fun night out with their annual Bladen County Hospital Foundation Gala. The Gala will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020. To sponsor the event or to purchase tickets call 910-862-1206.
