There’s nothing like curling up on the couch with a snack in hand and watching your favorite shows or movies on Netflix. With 4,010 movies it can be kind of hard finding that one perfect movie to watch especially when you don’t know where to begin looking. To make things a little easier, here are the top 10 best movies on Netflix to help get you started.

The first movie on the list is called Wind River. This movie is about a U.S. Wildlife Tracker, played by Jeremy Renner, and a FBI agent, played by Elizabeth Olsen, that come together to solve a mystery surrounding a dead body found in the middle of nowhere. The thriller is set in the Wyoming territory during the winter.

The second best movie on the list is Founder. This film tells the story of how the McDonalds restaurant franchise we know and love today was born. Ray Kroc was a struggling salesman, played by Michael Keaton, until he met the two McDonald brothers. Dick McDonald, played by Nick Offerman, and Mac McDonald, played by John Carroll Lynch, were already running their own hamburger restaurant in southern California when they met Kroc. Kroc saw great potential in the work the brothers were doing and managed to turn it into a national franchise.

The third movie is called Don’t Think Twice. This fun and heartbreaking film, featuring Keegan Michael-Key, Mike Birbiglia, and Gillian Jacobs, tells the story of a group of actors in New York who struggle to continue after one of their members leaves to do a Saturday Night Live-type of sketch show.

The fourth movie on this list is from Norway and is a disaster film called The Wave. The film finds a small Norwegian coastal town at the mercy of a 250 foot tsunami racing towards it, unbeknownst to the residents. A geologist, played by Kristoffer Joner, only has 10 minutes to warn and evacuate the town before the tsunami strikes.

The fifth movie on this list is called Boyhood and follows the life of a young and his family from the age of 6 to 18 years old.

The sixth movie, Locke, takes place in a car belonging to Ivan Locke, who is played by Tom Hardy, as he races to be present for the birth of his child who is the result of an affair with a colleague.

The seventh movie, The Lobster, follows a single man, played by Colin Farrell,  who must find a life partner before 45 days are up.  The reason? So he won’t be turned in to an animal of his choosing.

The eighth movie on the list is full of both adventure and mystery. National Treasure follows a famous historian and code breaker named Ben Gates, played by Nicholas Cage, as he searches for a treasure. By finding a clue on a colonial ship and a map found on the back of the Declaration of Independence, Gates must use these clues to find the hidden treasure.

The ninth movie takes place in a time where quiz shows dominated on television. The movie is called Quiz Show and is based on a true story. The movie follows a former contestant named Herbert Stempel, played by John Turturro, as he sues the quiz show for cheating.

The last movie on this list of top 10 movies on Netflix is The Godfather. Based on Mario Puzo’s novel, the movie follows Don Vito Corleone’s son, played by Al Pacino, when he decides to join the mafia.
