A tornado warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Bladen County until 3 p.m.

The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning which expired at 2:45 p.m.

At 2:18 pm a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Council and moving north at 50 miles per hour. Areas expected to be impacted by this storm include Rosindale, Lagoon, White Lake, and in Sampson County the areas of Smith Crossroads, Garland, Ingold, Taylor’s Bridge and Clinton.
