The Town of Bladenboro declared a State of Emergency on Wednesday afternoon, September 4th due to the expected heavy rain fall, strong winds, flash flooding, and severe weather from Hurricane Dorian. Declaring a State of Emergency and imposing the restrictions and prohibitions are ordered necessary to maintain order and protect public health, safety, and welfare, and to the secure property.
There is a voluntary evacuation of areas prone to flooding according to the declaration. It is strongly suggested that individuals stay off the highways and indoors during the severe weather event.
