Town of White LakeChief Brennan asked the Board to consider purchasing a new E-One pumper and has met with Fire Department Commissioner Tracey Trivette and staff in an effort to seek funding/financing options.  One option is to participate in the 2015 Office of State Fire Marshal Volunteer Fire Department Fund Grant application process on a dollar-for-dollar basis not to exceed $30,000 (OSFM $30,000 – Town’s match $30,000 for a total of $60,000).  The purpose of the grant is to purchase safety equipment but also allows fire departments to request funds to apply towards the purchase of new fire vehicles. (Used vehicles cannot be purchased under the grant program).  Applications must be submitted no later than March 01 and applicants will be notified of their grant application status on May 15th.   The only debt service the fire department has at this time is the building payment ($30,846).  This debt will expire in fiscal year 2015/16.   Board approved application of the grant.

In administrative matters the Board approved Utility Releases ($157.79), Tax Release(s) ($728.86) & Refund(s) ($5.51); approved the advertisement for 2014 tax liens as presented by the Tax Collector; approved the 2015-2016 fiscal year budget calendar; appointed Tim Clifton as an in-town member on the White Lake Planning & Zoning Board of Adjustment for a three-year term and appointed a budget officer and budget committee for the fiscal year 2015-2016 budget process.

Susan Inman requested a release for the current water bill for Regal Resort where the pipe burst because of having to turn the water to the park off and on to put in new plumbing for the meters that are going to be installed and that the pressure was too much for that particular pipe.  Mrs. Inman requested the Board consider releasing $2000 of the extra charges for the water and wastewater charges caused by the busted water line.   As per the Ordinance, the amount of the bill eligible for release is $1,102.00 (the current bill, $1,289.78 minus the wastewater charges for January 2014, $187.78, = $1,102.00).  Board approved release as granted in the ordinance of $1102.00.
