Some towns in Bladen County have announced the designated times that Trick-or-Treating will be allowed. All town spokespersons said that Trick-or-Treating will take place on Monday, October 31. The towns that have announced scheduled times for Trick-or-Treating are listed below.
*The town of Clarkton will allow Trick-or-Treating from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be no curfew.
*The town of Bladenboro submitted the following set of rules for Trick-or-Treating there:
1. Tricking or Treating will be allowed between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016.
2. Only children 12 years old and under, accompanied by their parents or a responsible adult, shall be allowed to solicit gifts (treats) from residents or businesses of this community.
3. Children under age 9 must be accompanied to the door.
4. A curfew will be in effect for all youths between the age of 13 to adult beginning at 10:30 p.m. and continuing until 6 a.m. on November 1, 2016.
5. A curfew will be in effect for all children under age 13 beginning at 9:30 p.m. and continuing until 6 a.m. on November 1, 2016.
6. The provisions of this curfew do not apply to those collecting for UNICEF or for church groups, except that a responsible adult must accompany minors.
7. We call on all motorists and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution during Halloween activities.
*the town of Elizabethtown will allow Trick-or-Treating between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There will be a curfew for all youth ages 13 to adult from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m.
