The US Marine Corps Toys for Tots program requires many dedicated volunteers. For the Bladenboro area the distribution of toys was under the supervision of Mrs. Beverly Rogers. Ranging from hand puppets to bicycles, the items available varied as they were given out and more items brought in from collection points. From December 14th through the 24th, Mrs. Rogers reports that over 1300 items were given to local families. A room for the distribution site was provided by the Bladenboro Historical Society in their building at 818 South Main Street, Bladenboro, NC.
