ROCKY POINT -East Bladen’s Eagles finished second in Thursday’s 4-team track and field meet behind host Heide Trask. The Lady Eagles placed third in the girls meet, and West Bladen’s boys and girls both finished fourth.
Trask won the boys meet with 116 points followed by East Bladen with 63 points, Pender with 52 and West Bladen with 22. Pender took first-place in the girls meet with 137 points. Trask was second with 75 points followed by East Bladen with 24 and West Bladen with 11.
First-place finishes for East Bladen’s boys included the 4×100 Relay Team of Ethan Hines, Eian Hines, Trevares Carter and Josh McKoy; Daimere Brown in the 200 Meter Dash and Ethan Hines in the Long Jump.
Corey McLaughlin won the 1600 Meter Run for West Bladen’s only first-place finish.
