ST PAULS – St. Pauls captured 1st place in both the boys and girls meets Thursday in a 4-team non-conference meet. East Bladen’s boys finished 2nd with 41 points behind St. Pauls 67.5 points. The Eagle girls placed 3rd with 32 points a point behind Fairmont’s 33 points and St Pauls (44).
Event winners for East Bladen were Omarion Atkinson in the boys long jump (20 feet, 0 inches); Jadon Pridgen in the boys discus (114 feet, 10 inches); the girls 4×100 meter relay team (57.91); and the girls 4×200 meter relay team (1:59.6).
The Eagles will open their Southeastern Athletic Conference meet schedule at Clinton on March 23. All of the East Bladen results from Thursday follow;
