WHITEVILLE- West Bladen’s boys tied for first place with Whiteville in a 3-way Three Rivers Conference track and field meet Thursday. Both teams scored 77 points. South Robeson was third with 10 points.

Whiteville won the girls meet with 94 points. West Bladen finished second with 45 points, and South Robeson was third with 31 points.

Junior Tyre Boykin won three events for the Knight boys. Boykin won the 100 meter dash (11.37), 200 meter dash (23.65) and the triple jump (38-6). Juniors Davion Willis-Howard won the 110 meter hurdles (17.46) and 300 meter hurdles (45.88).

Other event winners for West Bladen’s boys included: sophmore Dashaun Hines, long jump (18-7); sophmore Donovan Stone, high jump (5-8); and the 4×200 meter relay team (1:37).

Event winners for the Lady Knights included senior Kiance Morrisey in the 300 meter hurdles (1:02) and the 4×200 meter relay team (2:03).

Knight sophmore Abdul Taylor finished second in both the 400 meters (58.55) and the 300 meter hurdles (48.4), and third in the 110 meter hurdles (18.99). Junior Andrew AJ Brown was second in the long jump (18-7) and fourth in the 200 meter dash (24.99).

Junior Jacob Bryan placed second for the Knights in the 800 meters (2:33) and fourth in the 1600 meters (5:36). Senior Kerron Washington was second in the triple jump (36-8) and fourth in the 100 meter dash (11.0).

The Knight boys relay teams finished second in the 4×800 meters (9:50), 4×100 meters (47.09), and 4×400 meters (4:13).

Sophmore Shyron Adams placed third in the high jump (5-0) and fourth in the 400 meters (59.63). Sophmore Nathaniel Davis was third in the 800 meters (2:34.4).

Sophmore Jadacus Register finished fourth in both the 300 meter hurdles (49.78) and discus (87-5), and sophmore Jerry Kericus was fourth in the shot put (34-4).

Junior Alyssa Bell placed second in both the 400 meters (1:17) and 800 meters (3:19). Sophmore Hannah Bobby finished second in the 1600 meters (8:03) and third in the 800 meters (3:39). Sophmore Tinyauh Rhoda was second in the 200 meters (28:37) and third in the 100 meter dash (13.66).

Freshman Nykia Blackwell finished second in the 300 meter hurdles (1:02.5) and fourth in the 100 meter hurdles (22.79). Freshman Hannah Davis was second in the 3200 meters (20:43), and sophmore Ramonia Whitaker was second in the shot put (24-5).

The West Bladen girls relay teams finished second in the 4×800 meters (14:22) and 4×400 meters (5:48). Sophmore Sierra Mullis placed third in the 3200 meters (2:11), and senior Rebecca Bowman was fourth in the 1600 meters (8:51).

West Bladen’s next meet will be Thursday at Fairmont.
