DUE WEST, SC – West Bladen grad Trevor Lesane batted 4-12, scored 5 runs and drove in three as his Erskine College Flying Fleet posted a 4-1 record this week.
Lesane belted a single in Erskine’s 7-4 loss to Anderson University Wednesday. The Flying Fleet swept a doubleheader from Clarion University Friday by scores of 11-8 and 4-1. Lesane cracked a run-scoring single and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the opener. The Tar Heel native reached base on an error, stole a base and scored a run in the nightcap.
The Flying Fleet won both games of another doubleheader with Clarion on Saturday 14-2 and 4-3. Lesane batted a perfect 2-2 with double, 2 runs scored and a run-batted-in in the opener then walked and scored a run in the nightcap.
Lesane raised his batting average to .273 with 2 doubles, 8 runs scored and 6 rbi’s in 11 games for the Flying Fleet who are now 6-5. Erskine will host Augusta University Wednesday.
