DUE WEST, SC – Former West Bladen star Trevor Lesane smashed 3 doubles and batted 4-for-11 in Erskine’s 4-game Conference Carolinas weekend series with Belmont Abbey.

In Friday’s 8-7 Erskine victory, Lesane hammered a double to left-center field and raced home on Dalton Reeves’ single to give the Flying Fleet a quick 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning. The Tar Heel native ripped a double down the left field line in the 3rd inning but was stranded at 3rd base.

Lesane drilled a double down the left field line in the 3rd inning and sprinted home on Livan Reinoso’s single to trim the Crusader lead to 3-1. In the 9th inning Lesane belted a single to right field that drove in Drew Yniesta and trimmed the Belmont Abbey lead to 8-3.

For the season Lesane is batting .346 with 18 hits, 11 runs scored, 11 runs batted in and 4 doubles. He has a slugging percentage of .462.

The Flying Fleet own a 9-5 record in Conference Carolinas and is 12-10 overall. Erskine will host Barton College in a conference doubleheader at 3:30 Wednesday.
