BRISTOL, TN – Former West Bladen star Trevor Lesane belted 3 hits as his Erskine Flying Fleet swept a 4-game Conference Carolinas series from King University.

Lesane sat out the series opener that Erskine won 12-6 then rapped a single in the Flying Fleet’s 7-5 victory in the 2nd game.

The Tar Heel native batted 2-for-3 as Erskine squeezed out a 1-0 win in the 3rd game of the series. Lesane cracked a single to centerfield in the 5th inning and later stole 3rd base but was stranded there. The senior outfielder ripped a single to center in the 7th inning but was retired on a force-out at 2nd base.

Erskine posted another 12-6 victory in the final game of the series. The Flying Fleet, now 14-6 in league play and 17-11 overall, will host Augusta State Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Lesane is now batting .338 with 22 hits, 11 runs scored, 5 doubles, 13 runs batted in and 29 total bases. He has a slugging percentage of .446 and has stolen 4 bases in 19 games.
