On Friday, April 23, the Tri-County Task Force completed an operation in
Bladen County that consisted of arrest, citations, and seizures of drugs.
Officers and K-9’s conducted traffic stops and area patrols based on citizen
complaints in Elizabethtown, East Arcadia, Kelly, White Lake, Tar Heel,
and Bladenboro.
During the operation, (42) verbal or written warnings were issued, (12)
citations were written, (1) fugitive arrested, (1) misdemeanor arrest, (3)
misdemeanor drug seizures, and (1) Driving While Impaired.
The Tri-County Task Force was formed by Bladen County Sheriff Jim
McVicker, Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins, and Columbus County
Sheriff Jody Greene. The task force operates in all three counties, Bladen,
Robeson, and Columbus counties several times during the month. Future
operations are expected.
