Flash Flooding Concerns
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for a large portion of the forecast area, including Bladen County. Training rain bands associated with Debby are expected to bring about flash flooding, particularly affecting low-lying, poor drainage, and urban areas. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and monitor local weather updates.
Weather Threats Overview
1. Flooding Rain Threat: The region is under a high risk for flooding rains, with areas around Elizabethtown, Lumberton, and Whiteville particularly vulnerable. Heavy, persistent rain could lead to significant flooding.
