HermineHurricane Hermine has now been downgraded to a Tropical Storm and has made landfall. According to the National Weather Service, as of 5 a.m. the storm was located near Valdosta, Ga.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Bladen County and a flash flood watch remains in effect.

According to the National Weather Service, winds are expected to increase beginning in Georgetown, SC and spreading slowly northward and into southeastern North Carolina by late afternoon.

Winds are forecast to decrease during the day on Saturday.

Some potential impacts include power outages, downed trees and limbs, and minor structural damage.

According to the National Weather Service, rainfall amounts are forecast to be between 4 to 7 inches with isolated areas potentially receiving more. Flooding of low lying areas is possible.
