Tropical Storm Julia formed off the coast of Georgia and is expected to weaken through Friday as the begins to interact with land.
Heavy rainfall will be the greatest concern as the storm makes its way up the coast, according to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington. Coastal South Carolina is forecast to receive between 3 to 5 inches of rain through Saturday.
