Twisted Hickory Road is closed near Britt Road while the North Carolina Department of Transportation works on crossline repairs.
Twisted Hickory Road will be closed at a location just north of Britt Road in order to replace crosslines damaged during Hurricane Matthew. Utility relocations will occur first followed by construction. The road could be closed for up to four weeks depending upon weather. For detour use Britt Road / US 701 / NC 242 for access around the work area.
