TABOR CITY – East Bladen’s Javant McDowell and West Bladen’s ShyRon Adams were named to the All-Three Rivers Conference Boys Basketball Team that was released Monday.
McDowell powered in 13.5 points per game and was a dominant force around the basket. The 6-6 senior delivered season highs of 21 points in both of the West Bladen games and pumped in 19 points against West Columbus to help the Eagles post a 6-5 record.
Adams fired in 17.5 points per game and scored 20 or more points in 5 games. The senior forward poured in his season high of 29 points in 3 different games against West Columbus, East Columbus and in the season finale against East Bladen.
Receiving Honorable Mention honors from East Bladen were senior point guard Charles Brown (5.5 ppg) and speedy sophomore Malcolm Bolden (13.1 ppg). West Bladen’s Honorable Mention honoree from West Bladen was senior Josh Lewis (7.2 ppg).
