East Bladen’s Sincere Smith, left, and West Bladen’s Jimmy Wiliams were named to the All-Three Rivers Conference boys basketball team.

West Bladen guard Jimmy Williams and East Bladen forward Sincere Smith have been named to the All-Three Rivers Conference Boys basketball team.

Smith averaged 15.5 points per game and was also the Eagles leading rebounder. The athletic senior scored 20 or more points six times including a season-high 27 points in a 65-58 victory over South Robeson.

Smith also scored 23 in a 75-63 win over First Flight and 21 in a 62-50 win over Whiteville in the Woodmen Life Christmas Tournament.

Williams, a senior, averaged 11.4 points per game and scored 20 or more points in three games. Williams fired in a season-high 24 points in an 80-77 win over St. Pauls and threw in 20 points in an 88-85 victory over East Bladen.

Receiving TRC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors were East Bladen seniors Adonis Avery and Messiah Leach and West Bladen seniors Gerardo Reyes and Jonathan Robinson.

Fairmont’s Montrell McNair was named the TRC Coach of the Year, and West Columbus’ Jake Brownlee was named the league’s Player of the Year.
