A shooting on Wednesday afternoon on Lewis Street in Bladenboro has left one person dead, according to Bladen County Coroner, Hubert Kinlaw.
Bladenboro Police Chief Chris Hunt confirmed there had been a shooting earlier in the afternoon in Bladenboro.
“The SBI is assisting with it,” said Chief Hunt.
He said an arrest is forthcoming in the case.
“I want to reassure the community this is an isolated incident,” said Chief Hunt.
Chief Hunt said an arrest in the case is forthcoming.
