The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy Commandant of Cadets Carl T. Lloyd announced C/2LT Jalen Lloyd has been accepted to the Virginia Military Institute and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Lloyd has been at the Academy since 9th grade. He serves as the company commander of Alpha Company.
Lloyd is a member of the John L. Foye Rifles Drill Team, the National Society of Black Jacks, the United States Navy Sea Cadet Corps and has attended the VMI C.O.W. program. He plans on majoring in engineering and becoming a commissioned officer in the United States Army.
Lloyd is the son of two United States Air Force Airmen; Tech Sgt. Jeff Lloyd and Tech Sgt. Avery Lloyd. He is the grandson of Herman and Juanita Wilson and the late Carl E. Lloyd.
