Two West Bladen Knights, senior Stefan McDonald and junior Sayaun Dent, have been named to the All-Four County Conference Boys Basketball Team.

McDonald was the Knights leading scorer with a 15.3 average and scored in double-figures in 26 of 28 games. The 6-2 guard scored a season-high 24 points three times including the Woodmen Tournament semi-final win over Midway and the East Columbus Tourney title win over South Robeson.

Dent averaged 14 points per game and scored in double-figures in 23 of 28 games. The 6-3 forward scored a season-high 22 points in both of the Knight wins over West Columbus.

Dent was named the Most Valuable Player in the Woodmen Christmas Tournament that the Knights won with victories over Whiteville, Midway and Hoke County.

“They are both well-deserved choices,” said Knight Coach Travis Pait. “Stefan was our best player. He put in a lot of work and time to get better. I believe this was his third straight year of being named All-Conference.

“Sayaun was our most complete player,” continued Coach Pait. “We are happy to know that we have him coming back for another year.”
