The U-Car division drivers will be in the spotlight Saturday at Dublin Motor Speedway as they race for a top prize of $400. Pits open at 3 p.m., grandstands at 5 and practice is set for 6:30. Pit admission is $25 for adults, $10 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and under. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and military, $8 for ages 13 to 18, and free for ages 12 and under.
The speedway announced Monday $100 fines and five-week suspensions to five people who were involved in a confrontation during the Aug. 8 racing program. Those reprimanded were C.J. Locklear, Kenny Locklear, Michael Butler, Joey Wilkes and Cameron Parks. The suspensions end Sept. 12 if the fine is paid.
The racing season began at Dublin on the first Saturday in April and will run until at least mid-October. The last scheduled points race is scheduled Oct. 10.
