Dublin Motor SpeedwayAt least three of the top 10 drivers in the Ultimate Super Late Model series points standings are expected to compete Saturday for the $5,000 top prize in the third annual Rattlesnake Rumble at Dublin Motor Speedway.

However, Dublin regulars such as Dean Bowen, who has won the last seven Late Model races at the track, and Shaun Sewell, will be trying to keep the trophy at home. Russell Erwin, who has won four of the last five times he’s raced at Dublin, also is expected to be in Saturday’s field.

Among the Ultimate series regulars, Casey Barrow, who is fifth in points, ninth-place Chris Ferguson, and 10th-place Ivedent Lloyd, have announced their plans to race at Dublin on Saturday. Among the other drivers expected for the 50-lap featured event include Gray’s Creek’s Shaun Harrell, Scott Autry, Justin Labonte, Zack Mitchell, Josh Langly, Johnny Pursley and Brian Ledbetter.

Other divisions racing Saturday include Late Model, Crate Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Super Street, Pure Stock, U=Cars and Stock 4.

Pits open at 3 p.m. and grandstands at 5 p.m. Practice is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Admission to the pits is $30 for adults, $15 for ages 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and under. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $17 for senior citizens and military, $13 for ages 13 to 18, and free for ages 12 and under.

The Ultimate Super Late Model series is scheduled to return to Dublin on Oct. 10.
