There are a lot of exciting events coming up in Bladen County and in southeastern North Carolina this weekend. If you are looking for some where to take the kids or a nice evening out, check out these upcoming events.
On Saturday, February 27:
**SCC Student Jazz Festival & Competition, Saturday, February 27, at 7:30 pm, at the SCC Auditorium.
**White Lake/Bladen County Water Rescue Fundraiser will take place Saturday. It will consist of Brunswick Stew $7 Quart – 612 Highway 53 East. Ready for pick up at noon.
**The Small Business Center (SBC) of Bladen Community College is offering several no-cost seminars in February. “Be Free from Debt’s Hold,” a seminar designed to help you avoid scams and build up your credit, will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 9 a.m. until noon on the main campus. ** There is also a clean up planned for Elizabethtown Middle School at 8 a.m. Saturday.
** The Bladen County Democratic Party Precinct meetings will take place. The following precincts will be having a Democratic Party precinct meeting on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Their location and meeting times are listed below and the public is encouraged to attend. READ MORE
** Join a park ranger early in the morning to burn some calories on a 4 mile hike around Jones Lake. Learn about the different habitats while starting a healthy habit (exercise). Participants should meet at the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. for this program. Please bring bug spray, water, and hiking shoes. This event is free of charge and is open to the general public.
