The Grape Festival will be taking place at Lu Mil Vineyard on Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will last until 3 p.m. The Pancake Breakfast at the General Store, sponsored by the Dublin Boy Scouts, will begin at 7 a.m. There will be food available along with a Grape Stomp competition with cash prizes! Registration for the Grape Stomp starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. A Community Yard Sale will be held during the event, including Antique Tractor Clubs. Blackwater Rhythm and Blues Band will begin performing at noon until the event ends at 3 p.m.

The 11th annual Bladenboro Beast Festival will begin on Friday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The festival will continue on Saturday, Oct. 28 with the Grand Opening ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. and activities will continue until 10 p.m. There is no admission fee charged to get in and there will be golf cart pick-ups for those that may need assistance. Parking will be available for everyone that would like to attend the event. Remember to wear T-shirts and shorts for the occasion. The high for the day will be roughly in the 50s and 60s but bring a sweater around nighttime since the temperature will be around the 40s to 50s. Food vendors and the carnival rides will be open on both days. There also will be performers throughout the day, along with arts and crafts vendors to keep everyone entertained. A Children’s Halloween Costume Contest will be held Saturday afternoon, and a Trunk or Treat live production for kids under the age of 12.
