The organizers of the Bladen County Education Foundation  annual Jail-A-Thon fundraiser, which was held back in April of this year, have tallied up the funds they received from their efforts. In a letter to supporters and Bladen County Education Foundation members, Attorney David Wall placed the total funds raised during this year’s event at $7,200.

Wall wrote of the event, “Our best one ever.” The original goal was to raise $5,000 during the event.

During the annual Jail-A-Thon David Wall, acted as the “Judge” instructing law enforcement officers on who to arrest and then pronouncing the bond the “law breaker” had to post.  The Bladen County Sheriff’s Department, Elizabethtown and White Lake Police Departments helped collect the “perpetrators” and their donations.

The fundraiser was a group effort from many willing participates in Bladen County. If you missed the fundraiser, but would still like to support the Bladen County Education Foundation, please send your donations in to, Bladen County Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 72, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
