ELIZABETHTOWN – Vicki Lanier, M.D., has been appointed Emergency Department Medical Director at Bladen Healthcare.
She originally joined Bladen County Hospital in 1997 as a staff physician, before eventually becoming medical director. She is also a staff physician at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg. Dr. Lanier says she looks forward to serving in her new role in the same community she’s lived and worked in since 1997.
“I’m excited about this new opportunity given to me,” she said, “and the opportunity to serve Bladen County once again.”
Dr. Lanier received her medical degree from East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, and completed her residency in Morristown, N.J. She is board certified by the American College of Medicine. She and her husband, Jim Watts, have three children together.
